As the waters cover the sea (2)

The Christian must always count it a privilege to share the gospel. He ought to share the message and share it often. The believer is saved to become a son of God but much more, the believer is now a servant of God.

Jesus says to go into the world and preach. You have absolutely no excuse. Be about the lord’s work. Your work in the natural isn’t an excuse. Peter was a fisherman, he didn’t drop or leave his work, when the disciples said they had left all to follow Jesus, they were talking about priority. They placed Jesus high above all other things, they didn’t leave their work. John the Beloved was a net mender, he didn’t leave his work, yet they were all active in the preaching of the gospel.

Whatever excuse you think you have, there are people in the same circumstances that you are in and are serving the Lord. There are men of all professions serving the Lord. Thus, no matter your work, it can’t be excuse enough not to preach.

A man who will serve the Lord must learn to do away with excuses.

That’s why you mustn’t build your Christian convictions on things that change. You build it on things that don’t change. That way, you stay steadfast in doing the same things.

Build your convictions on prayer, the word. They can never change.

Jesus asked us to reach the world, he asked us to make disciples. If there is something Jesus wants today is a witnessing church. When Jesus says ‘go’, you go, you obey the standing order. That’s purpose for the believer. The believer’s worship must result in men preaching the gospel.

Evangelism must be our focus.

See what Paul told Timothy in 1 Timothy 2:1-4;
1 I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;
2 for kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;
4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

God wants all men to be saved. He isn’t willing for any sinner to perish. That’s our God. When you find yourself in a new place or new environment, the first thing that should come to your head is: “Where am I starting my preaching from?” That’s purposeful living!

Look at Habakkuk’s prophecy in Habakkuk 2:14;
For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.

This is God’s mandate to the world. This is God’s desire for the world, but this can only happen when you Go into all the world; start from your street and share the gospel from one man to the next – that’s how we cover the earth.

The mission is possible!
