Be Patient (2)
We have seen that the spirit of God influences the believer to be patient. The believer should not be the one who rushes things, someone once said ‘Unripe fruits turn the belly’, always know that time is in God’s hands. Make no attempt to be faster than God’s time, stay on his time.
The difference between then and now is time. Learn to tell yourself the phrase ‘calm down’. You can only see as far as you can see or what God will show you. Be patient with yourself. It is absolutely normal to have aspirations and goals, but do your best and don’t force it, it is a character of life that shows that you trust God.
Be patient with certain goals, eventually, he makes all things beautiful in his time, so trust his timing. Don’t rush and don’t be rushed. Be patient and trust the process.
Be patient with your ministry, do your best, and leave the rest for God, don’t let pressure affect your devotion. From the parable of the sower;
Luke 8:15;
15 But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.
The ‘good soil’ bears fruits with patience (‘hupomone’ in the Greek which means cheerful endurance, that is what you do while waiting). What prospers the believer’s ministry is patience. Sometimes, you lose out on what God is doing due to a lack of patience.
Be patient with your discipleship, maintain that positive attitude even if things are not going the way you plan, and watch patience have its perfect work. Take your time. Trust the process and what God is doing.
Ephesians 4:1-2;
1 I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called,
2 With all lowliness and meekness, with longsuffering, forbearing one another in love;
Have patience in love, and focus on what the Lord is doing. Trust him, trust that he’s working.
Be patient with life itself, you’re in no race with anyone. Learn from the patience of God in the scriptures.
Exodus 14:14;
Do your best trusting that the Lord will fight for you. Always see him working.
