Be Tenacious
Tenacity is a necessity for every minister of the gospel (which every believer should be). That strong desire to stay with the work come what may, to do what he bids us no matter the cost.
The truth is we are dealing with humans and no one is perfect, we must realize that folks may at times react irrationally, some whom you think have been well taught may act otherwise, but we must stay on course in the preaching and teaching of the word.
If all saints are already perfected, we won’t need the ministry gifts, but not so, every man needs control, help, and growth
Eph 4:11-15;
11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers;
12 For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ:
13 Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
14 That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive;
15 But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ:
So we must continually teach, it is in these teachings that stability is birth in many, and this can only be achieved by not giving up on these ones, for they are God’s very own. The work must continue no matter who leaves or stays. Tenacity is ours today.
Revd Hagin wrote in his book: Growing up spiritually
“Children in the natural are unsteady …unreliable…impressionable…spasmodic. Spiritual children are the same way.”
“When a new pastor comes to a church everyone comes. I’ve gone to pastor a church and people would gather around, pat me on the back,
shake my hand, and say, “Brother Hagin, I want you to know I’m with you. I’m with you one hundred percent. I’m behind you.
Six months went by and I didn’t see them. Nine months went by and I didn’t see them. I thought, “Well now they’re behind me; they said they were.”
“The trouble was they were so far behind me I never could reach them. They were too far behind to do any good.”
So, people may leave, the growth may not seem coming forth, the finances may not seem to be all you expected, the people you trusted may disappoint, but it’s the Lord’s work, and we will stay with this come what may.
Its Jesus’ dream that the earth be covered with the gospel, and we’ve made that ours, there’s no giving up here, rather strength, resilience with power is what we have as we reach the world.
If nobody sees you or seem to encourage you, take this as one, and moreover the Lord’s eyes are all over you for he is with you through it all, and he is proud of you.
Men are raised by the word and the spirit, there’s no stopping us, for we only see massive and glorious manifestation of the glory of the Lord
I’m not going to throw in the towel, what about you?
MOST ASSUREDLY, we cover the earth.
