How the power flows (4)
Faith is expressed in words, what we say and how we say it. God himself speaks (Gen 1), ‘God said’. God saw the things he said. How much of the things you want to see in your life are you speaking into existence. Never speak down on your life. Sometimes, by being frank, we call God a liar. Even in your jokes, be careful with your words, you can never be greater than the words you speak.
Every time Jesus healed someone, he said something. Learn to exercise authority with your words. The most important things we know about God are in words. If you were told everything you say today will come to pass, how will you talk? Live each day like that.
Mk. 11:23-24;
23 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
This is how we ought to function on the earth – we keep speaking to the mountain. Jesus makes it clear that the mountain will give way if you use your words well. Don’t give fear a voice. Fear will die unborn if you don’t talk about it. The reason why some bad things happen to people is because they exercise their fear in words. See Job – “the thing I greatly feared has come upon me”.
Use your words well. Don’t say “I’m struggling”, “I’m finished” or things like that. To build a good marriage and have a good home, use your words well. The woman with the issue of blood, her faith was in her words. See Abraham: God changed his named from Abram (assumed father) to Abraham (Father of many nations). What are you calling forth with your words?
The primary way God’s power flows in a meeting is through words. When someone says ‘God bless you”, say ‘amen’. Use your words to harvest. Learn to take hold of prophecies. Words make power available. It’s not a formula, it’s the law of faith. Stop complaining, use your words for better things. Choose to speak faith-filled words. Keep away from people that cause you to speak negative words, preserve yourself.
See another example in Jairus’ household:
As Jesus got there and said she was asleep. The same people who were just crying, started to laugh. Ridiculous! Jesus sent them out. Faith and unbelief don’t co-exist in the same place. Nothing God gives thrives in an atmosphere of fear and unbelief. So, what are you exposing yourself to? Trace the root of the fear and deal with it. Do away with information that is contrary to God’s word, and watch your life get better.
