Jesus – Our Help (2)
The promise and offer of help are God’s platter to humanity from Adam to this generation. God’s offer has always been, “Let me be your help,” “Let me provide,” “Let me deliver.” The more uncomfortable and unpredictable the situation, the more willing and available He is to help and deliver.
Even in the natural, God’s word remains true, “I will be your help.” At the Mount in Moriah, Abraham saw God’s provision. God intervened, and this has been the pattern throughout the ages. The Bible is a story of God’s intervention. God will always help.
David had this assurance of God’s help:
Psalm 118:6 KJV The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
“God is on my side!” How about this for a faith confession?
We must learn to acknowledge the Helper. He is always on our side. Never outgrow the basics! Desist from the habit of logically excluding God from a situation. Remember, He is a specialist at coming through.
The writer of the book of Proverbs would write, saying:
Proverbs 3:5-6;
5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
Trust in the Lord. The arm of flesh is known to fail, so don’t allow the enemy to convince you to scheme God out of the picture. The writer of the book of Hebrews puts it in a similar light:
Hebrews 13:5-6
5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me.
God is that help; He steps in always! For Noah, God stepped in; for Abraham, David, and the entire nation of Israel, He stepped in. He made a way back then; He’s still making ways now. Simply trust in Him.
Say this: “I trust in God’s help always. I acknowledge and receive God’s help and deliverance for me at all times. My eyes are open to His help, and I see it at all times.”
Have a blessed day!
