Move the mountains (3)
Mark 11:22-23
22. And Jesus answering saith unto them. Have faith in God.
23. For verily I say unto you, that whosoever shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed and be cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass, he shall have whatsoever he saith.
We have been able to see here that have faith in God means have the faith of God, he explains what the faith is, and it has to do with speaking. That is, God’s kind of faith is the speaking faith.
This faith is not far or beyond the believer, the believer is the of household of faith, the believer is not seeking faith.
The word mountain is figurative, it represents a problem.
Vs 23 is not about how to receive from God, he taught about changing situations. Demons also use words and respond to words. Faith doesn’t attract pity, you must learn to say the mountain is under you. Faith changes situations, the verb of faith is to speak.
Mark 11:12-14;
He spoke to the fig tree, not curse. He spoke loud and clear enough, words that are not clear don’t carry anything, be loud and clear about it. Jesus’ presence is as good as his words, you can’t use your authority without speaking. You must learn to say the word clearly for every obstacle to hear. Experiences are a function of knowledge, be loud and clear, the way to function in the word is in speaking. Jesus didn’t stop talking to the fig tree, there was a conversation that was going on, you must learn to speak, and stay with your confession. If you stay with it long enough, you’ll come out with a miracle.
Fear, doubt, and unbelief are in words. If you say nothing out of fear it will die unborn, don’t give room to doubt, don’t speak emotionally, speak words that are full of faith. When you are faithless, you oppose God’s word without knowing.
Philippians 4:6 Be careful for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God.
Nothing: nedeis. Don’t act on worries, don’t say it, don’t give the problem power by speaking, some things are just mere temptations till you say it.
Mark 4:38-41;
He called the storm peace, he didn’t call the problem by its name. Fearful: deilos: excessive dread. Jesus knew they were fearful by their words, fear has no worth until words are spoken. Doubt comes by words, so you don’t neutralize it with thought but by words, you annul it by speaking. Plant words consistently in your mind, don’t be loose with words. The moment I say, I have whatsoever I say. Learn to speak words and not waver, your life goes in the direction of the words you speak.
See Abraham’s example: Romans 4:17-20;
17 (as it is written: “I have made thee a father of many nations”), in the presence of Him whom he believed, even God, who quickeneth the dead and calleth those things which are not, as though they were.
18 Abraham, against all hope, believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which had been spoken, “So shall thy seed be.”
19 And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about a hundred years old, nor yet the deadness of Sarah’s womb.
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strong in faith, giving glory to God,
Vs. 17 He called the things that were being not as though they were. Vs. 19 He wasn’t weak in faith, he didn’t change his confession based on situations. Vs 20 he was fully persuaded. Persuaded: plerophoneo. He got to a point that nothing could change what he said, nothing changed his confession.
Your words are invisibilities, they work with spiritual invisibility. You must learn to be a man of your word, maintain your confession, and do not allow situations to dictate your confession. Jesus says the words I speak are spirit and life. Our faith works with words, it is a speaking faith not thinking or meditating, this faith is not beyond us.
